We left St. George early our flight left at 6am. We had the free companion flight so that was our option. We had a 2 hour layover in Salt Lake then a four hour layover in LA. We grabbed lunch there. We arrived in Kauai at around 4 pm. We picked up our rental car and headed to the hotel. We ate dinner at Duke’s then went to Walmart to get water and other goodies.
May 31, 2025 Saturday
We slept so good and woke up at 7am for a full day. It’s sunny and
beautiful out.
Ran some errands hit a few shops (ABC Store etc) ate lunch and
hung out by the pool!
We ate dinner at Rob’s good time grill.
June 1, 2025 Sunday
We drove to Po’ipu beach hung out for a while and saw a bunch of turtles.
Drove
to Waimea Canyon stopped at JoJo‘s and got a shave ice.

2, 2025 Monday
We drove over to the North Shore and stopped in Hanalei and ate lunch. Michael had a soft shell crab sandwich and I had a chicken mango salad super good. We shared a Jojo’s shave ice again but tried a different flavor. We drove all the way through Hanalei to the end of the North shore. We stopped at a few beaches and Tunnels beach. We drove back to the resort ate dinner and sat on the balcony. It was so nice.

3, 2025 Tuesday
Ate breakfast then drove into Kapa’a. It’s close by so we checked out a few shops and got some Holy Grail donuts. They were fresh made. A Taro recipe, so good and fresh. I kinda wish they had a plain one they were a bit sweet for me but yummy. We went back to the resort and hung out at the beach and pool.
June 4, 2025 Wednesday
We
just grabbed breakfast real quick at McDonald’s and then headed to Opaek’a
Falls. We’ve been there before but it was so long ago. It rained a bit this
morning so it made everything even look more lush and pretty. We drove around a
little and stopped at Lygate beach and park. It’s really pretty. Then we headed
back to the resort and hung out at the pool because the sun came out again! We
ate dinner at Lilikoi bar and grill. It was pretty good.

5, 2025 Thursday
We went to breakfast at Tip Top cafe again then headed to glass beach in Ele’ele. There’s just tiny pieces of sea glass left but I still wanted to check it out. We drove around the Island stopping at beautiful places! We stopped at Duke’s to get Hula Pie. Couldn’t pass that up while we were here! We got nachos and the Hula Pie. We then headed back to the resort to hang out at the pool.

6, 2025 Friday
We enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing by the pool and beach at the resort. Later we drove back to Poipu beach. We went to Puku dog. We went to dinner later at Brennecke’s then enjoyed the sunset and more turtles!

7, 2025 Saturday
Relaxed by the pool and did some laundry. We went to dinner at Rob’s bar and grill again. It was good last time and the live music was great!
I got the stir-fry and Michael got the barbecue platter. It was delicious.

We
went to Waimea Falls. Then ate lunch at Mark’s Place. We shared teriyaki
chicken with rice and macaroni salad. We hung out at the pool and shared an
Açaà bowl. So yummy!

10, 2025 Tuesday
We
went to breakfast at
Kalaheo
Cafe’ and coffee company. We got a fresh papaya and their French toast. It was
so good!
We hung out at the pool and beach at the resort the rest of the day. Tomorrow we fly home at 8:30 pm. Time to go see our sweet puppy. We missed her so much!
We went to dinner at Lemongrass Grill Seafood and Bar since it was so good the other night.

11, 2025 Wednesday
It's our 48th wedding anniversary. A great place to spend it.
We went to breakfast at McDonalds then headed back to Poipu Beach. Ate lunch at Puka Dog. We went back to the hotel for a bit then headed to the airport. Our flight was supposed to leave at 8:20 pm we sat on the plane for about an hour and a half while the mechanics were trying to fix a problem. They needed to reboot the system so we sat without air for about 10 minutes. They finally de boarded us and we had to wait another hour or more before they ended up canceling the flight! I guess it was a fire censor in the engine. They decided to cancel the flight since they wanted that to definitely work flying 5 hours over the ocean! We had to stand in line to get vouchers for a hotel and food. Michael went and rescheduled our flights while I stood in line for the other by the time we got to our hotel, it was 1:30 am. We have the same flight out tomorrow at 8:30 pm. Hopefully we can make it this time!
June 12, 2025 Thursday
Another long day waiting for a 8:30 flight. We waited in the airport forever since we turned in our rental car! Finally got on the plane 5 hours to LA then SLC then St. George. I’m so tired and sooo glad to be home.
